Apple Pro Apps Bundle For Education – Special Pricing
Apple has introduced a Pro Apps Bundle for Education. It includes Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4, and Mainstage 3. All of this for the incredible price of $199.99. That’s the price of Logic Pro X alone!
Apple Pro Apps Bundle
The total cost of these apps combined is $630. So, this bundle offers a savings of $430. I know I’m preaching to the converted here with regards to Logic Pro X; but if you were ever thinking about snapping up Final Cut Pro X, now’s the time. FCPX alone normally costs $300.
The Apple Pro Apps Bundle is designed for teachers, students, faculty, and staff at educational institutions in the United States. But Apple has confirmed that this same Pro Apps Bundle is coming soon to educational institutions in other countries (Canada, Australia, UK, etc.).
There doesn’t, as far as I can tell, seem to be any limitation as to who can buy it. With each purchase, Apple sends redemption codes for the Mac App Store, which unlock each app. It’s possible some restrictions may come on the back end of the purchase, though, like a limitation that they not be used for commercial purposes. Or perhaps they will come as is, with no access to updates. This is pure speculation, though.
In any case, this is an incredible deal. MainStage, as we all know, is a companion App to Logic Pro X. It is designed to use Logic Pro X’s software instruments, and effects live on stage with a laptop and keyboard controller. Or as a stand-alone means of bringing Logic Pro X’s instruments and effects into other DAWs and performance/recording setups.
Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor
Final Cut Pro is Apple’s flagship video editing software, which was updated just this past October. Motion is used to create 2D and 3D effects, like titles and transitions. And Compressor is used to export video into a variety of formats.
