Your Questions, Our Answers – Change Performances With a Foot Pedal

midi foot pedal

On the Logic Pro Expert Facebook page, someone recently asked us:

Hey,

I’ve got a question. I use Logic Pro X live on stage but it takes me too much time (and too many clicks) to change Performances. Is it possible to change Performances with a foot pedal? I hope you can help me. Greetings!!!

Our answer:

Logic Pro X has a really sweet feature built in feature for this. Under the Channel Strip settings menu, there is an option to save what is referred to as a “performance”. It basically allows you to assign a program change number to the Channel Strip setting.

logic pro x save as performance

So, in order to change Performances with a foot pedal, all the foot pedal needs to do is send out Program Change messages, and the selected Channel Strip will respond, and call up the saved Performances accordingly.
