Putting Bus Automation On A Region

logic pro region automation

Here’s a quickie, but a biggie: Suppose you have a couple of tracks sending to an aux bus that carries some plugins for effects. Now you want to automate some of the parameters of these plugins.

First, you’ll have to make the bus visible in the Arrange Window. Control-click the bus ( or press ctrl+T while it’s selected in the Mixer) and select ‘Create/Select Arrange Track).

Since the aux bus is now part of your arrangement, literally, it may be wise to put the automation fades on a region, like you can see in the top image.

Now you can move your automation around easily.

Unfortunately, making aliases of the region won’t be any different than making copies of the region.
